ABOUT OPERATIONS 

The operations function forms the backbone of any company. At STX, the Operations team, which consists of Technology, Trade Operations, Finance, Compliance, Legal and Human Resources, works closely with all other teams and desks to ensure that STX continues to perform and deliver at an exceptionally high level. As a critical partner in the business, Operations also guarantees compliance with all the relevant rules and regulations. Moreover, the Operations team works collaboratively to make sure that STX has the necessary structures and processes in place to grow and develop further in new products, industries and markets. 

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Manage the build-out, delivery, and successful operationalization of the Energy Trade and Risk Management (ETRM) system, ensuring it is fully up and running on the entire product lifecycle (from MVP to continuous improvement) 
  • Own project deliverables, determine work estimates quality, guard project scope, and manage change requests, deliverables, timeline, and costs 
  • Liaise with business stakeholders (including Sales, Trading, Operations, Risk, and Finance), as well as software vendors, outside consultants, and STX technology teams for planning, tracking, and delivering the project 
  • Host key meetings (including steering committees) and prepare project management decks 
  • Coordinate integration projects related to ETRM, ensuring seamless interaction and functionality within the overall ecosystem 
  • Work within Development to automate data reporting between the ETRM and other software components trough APIs 

 

KEY REQUIREMENTS 

  • Over 7+ years as a program and/or project manager delivering complex software projects 
  • Proven track record of managing complex projects from initiation to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget 
  • Proficient in analyzing business requirements and creating plans in collaboration with business units, support functions and IT teams 
  • Expertise in overseeing the entire product lifecycle, from MVP development to continuous improvement 
  • Strong experience working with Agile development teams and/or Scrum processes with a robust understanding of integration projects 
  • Capable of detailed analysis while maintaining a strategic overview 
  • Strong ability to manage and collaborate with diverse internal and external stakeholders, both senior and junior 
  • Effective team player in development and multidisciplinary project teams, with the ability to work independently 
  • Experience with commodities products and/or trading processes or financial markets and instruments is a big plus 
  • Experience in implementing commodities projects using CTRMS or ETRM systems such as Openlink/Endur is highly desirable 
  • Based in or willing to relocate to the Amsterdam area 
  • Excellent command of the English language
