STX Group, a global leader in environmental commodities trading and climate solutions, today announces the appointment of Marijn van Diessen as the Chief Executive Officer.
Since joining STX Group in 2022, Marijn van Diessen has served as the Group’s Chief Commercial Officer and as member of the STX Group Executive Team. He is responsible for all front office activities within the Group worldwide, including Strive by STX and he is currently also the Chairman of the Board of Directors at Vertis.

Prior to joining STX Group, Marijn was with McKinsey and Co. where he was a partner in the company’s energy practice. He started his career at Goldman Sachs where he worked as a trader in London.

Chris Mahoney
STX also announced the appointment of Chris Mahoney as a Non-Executive member of the Board of Directors. Mahoney is a commodity trading veteran with nearly 40 years of experience at Cargill and Glencore/Viterra, where he led the global agricultural commodity trading arm. Since 2021, Mahoney is Chairman of ED&F Man.
